Who am I?
I work as a Technical Support Analyst supporting various
Cray systems.
My work interests are -
- Compilers and program optimization techniques.
- Teaching (Optimization, MPP Programming and Korn shell).
- Web page development. I use this page as my sandpit to play in
so please let me know of any problems.
- Network support.
- Systems support.
My personal interests are -
- Astronomy (but not a practical observer any more).
I have written JavaScript for an astronomical ephemeris, you can find a
copy on my internet pages.
- Preservation of the landscape and our historical buildings.
I'm a member of the Friends of the Lake District and of the National Trust.
- Antique glass (and the wines that go in them!).
My life history is -
- Born in Norfolk (Outwell), raised in Lincolnshire (Sleaford)
and Merseyside (Runcorn).
- 1966-79 - University of Manchester.
